Gran Caffè
Gran Caffè sought Propel PR’s services to help them expand after 10 successful years in the heart of Liverpool City Centre.
Focussing on rolling out two more venues in the city, we supported the team with a full PR strategy from successful launch parties to developing their messaging, brand awareness and reputation.
With a decade of Gran Caffè’s presence behind them, we focussed on effectively communicating their strong family values and how two brothers have developed an Italian cafe empire through the desire to share the authentic Italian coffee culture with the city of Liverpool.
At Gran Caffè, all ingredients for their dishes are provided by their sister’s A Tavola da Maria Delicatessen using products imported from Italy and their coffee is ground from beans from their family’s roastery, Torrefazione Lucana, in Potenza. This is a huge USP and something we focussed on to show the true quality and authenticity of their produce, allowing the media to go behind the scenes to capture the true scale of their operation.
Developing this messaging also meant reminding guests of everything that Gran Caffè offers from its handmade pastries, excellent coffee and award-winning gelato, to its newly developed delicious brunch dishes and aperitivo, with Italian small plates and spritz available in the afternoon and evening.
Propel PR successfully launched two new Gran Caffès in Liverpool; one on Duke Street and one in the heart of South Liverpool on Lark Lane. Both were incredibly effective as we tapped into the right target audience for each. On Duke Street, there was a focus on local businesses and those who frequent town, whereas on Lark Lane, we considered families, influencers, food and drink bloggers and utilised the followings of those in the area whilst securing a plethora of effective news coverage and digital content including Liverpool Echo’s TikTok and Instagram family bloggers The Patmore’s.
